All Mixed Up was the title of a meeting of German authors with writers from the United States who have one thing in common: they are in more than one culture at home. From the United States had been invited Chris Abani, Ana Menendez, Janet Sternburg, Junot Diaz and David Wong Louie, from Germany and Switzerland Yoko Tawada, Aki Takase, Arthur Becker, Melinda Nadj Abonji and Sherko Fatah. As a then-fellow at the Villa Aurora alsoTzveta Sofronieva participated. The first meeting was held on April 23rd and 24th, 2005 at the Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades, the second meeting on November 19th at the Literary Colloquium in Berlin. Apart from discussions, the authors Chris Abani, Angie Cruz, Emily Raboteau and Janet Sternburg presented their literary texts in public readings.
